National Institute of Standards and Technology

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is a high performance laboratory and research space for a staff of 350 scientists, engineers, technicians and support personnel. The NIST conducts chemical, physical, materials and information sciences, and engineering research. RK Mechanical fabricated and installed the high-tech mechanical system featuring helium recovery, purification and liquefaction, lab high vacuum, liquid nitrogen (LN2), ultra high purity process gas, pure and ultra pure water systems, fume hoods and biological safety cabinets, acid and solvent exhaust systems, energy recovery systems, clean steam generation and distribution, and process chilled water.
